JVZoo Review: Scam Or Legit?

jvzoo review - scam or legit?

Welcome to my JVZoo review. You will read if this affiliate network is a scam or a legit one that you can actually use to make money.

There are many products on the members’ area and a lot of affiliates who use it every day so let’s see how exactly it works.

What Is JVZoo?

JVZoo is a marketplace for digital products and a big affiliate network. In my opinion, it’s the biggest affiliate network for digital products after Clickbank which is a similar affiliate network.

You can find hundreds of products in the marketplace and sellers launch new products every day.

It’s super easy to add a new product to the marketplace. It takes only a few steps. This business model has pros and cons. The fact that anyone can add a product to a big marketplace like this one helps many people to add worthless products and start promoting them.

On the other hand, it makes simpler for all the parts to find what they want and make money. The sellers want a place to sell their products and JVZoo gives them all the tools they need. Affiliate marketers want a product to promote and they can find many of them.

JVZoo handles payments and refunds but it’s not responsible for other parts like the quality of the products or the way that these products are promoted.

As an affiliate who has used many affiliate networks and programs, I think a good affiliate network should not create any extra issues for the parts that involved on the transactions.

The sellers and the affiliates want to get paid on time without losing any sales on technical issues and the buyers will be happy if they have no problems on payments and refunds.

JVZoo takes care of everything so we can say that it’s a legit company.

There are some complaints but most of them are about different products from their marketplace. While JVZoo is not responsible for the products, many of them have really low quality.

Many sellers sell a few short videos, PDFs or worthless softwares at expensive prices or they make many unrealistic claims and promise things that can’t deliver.

It’s a common issue on most marketplaces for digital products. It does not mean that you can’t find legit products but you must be a little careful as an affiliate who want to promote something or a buyer.

How Does It Work?

You can create an account from anywhere in the world. Once you have created an account, you can browse a few products if you are an affiliate or you can add your products as a seller.

While I have not any experience as a seller, I have made a few affiliate sales on JVZoo in the past.

There is an approval process on each product for every affiliate. You apply, write a few words and the seller will approve you or not. Some sellers take time to approve you while others approve everyone automatically.

When you get approved, you can get your links and start promoting them.

If you want to find products, you have the option to start searching in the marketplace. You can search by niche, check the new launches or go directly on the top sellers.

The marketplace has a few available niches but most of the products are on the e-commerce category. It includes products on all the possible ways to make money online.

The focus of most sellers and affiliates is the make money online niche and tend to sell or promote these secret systems that are supposed to work overnight. Of course, many of them are scams.

Another option is to check for new launches. On this list, you can see the name and the sales. Many of these products will not get enough traffic so you must figure out the ones that have some potential.

The last option is to check the top sellers. The benefit here is that these products get traffic and convert well but there is some competition.

When you get approved to promote a product, you can check your stats and sales from your Affiliate Dashboard.

Can You Make Money With JVZoo?

When you have found some products that you like, you may want to learn how to promote them.

If you are a member of JVZoo, you will find sooner or later a product that sells a system to make money with JVZoo. I would recommend you avoiding all these fancy systems and tricks to make money.

The best affiliates of JVZoo use one of the two following strategies:

Launch Jacking:

This is the most popular strategy from the affiliates of JVZoo. Simply, too many products launch every day in this marketplace.

When a seller, launch a product sends as much traffic as possible. Many times, they have partners who send traffic as well. Their way to send traffic is through emails. They promote their links on their email lists or on email lists of other people.

Many of their subscribers will read these emails. Some of them will buy the product but most of them will make a research on the internet. They will search for product reviews.

Launch jackers are the guys who create reviews before the launch of the product to get the first positions on Google. When someone searches for a product, he finds their reviews, and they can make a sale by saying a few good words about the product.

This is not an ethical business model and I do not recommend it because most of the times, you have no idea if the product you promote is legit or a scam, but launch jacking can work. Some big names do launch jacking and earn a lot of money.

There are many techniques to do launch jacking but the most effective way is to create a new blog and start writing reviews on the next launches. You can find the most popular upcoming upsells on MunchEye and JVNotifyPro.

On these sites, many of the products are from JVZoo but they include products from other marketplaces as well like Clickbank and WarriorPlus.

Paid Ads:

Many affiliates buy solo ads to promote their links. You pay other people to send an email on their lists. It can be quite risky but it’s a fast way to get traffic.

There are not much to say about solo ads. You find a place to buy them and you hope they will work as there is no guarantees.

Most experienced affiliates use Facebook Ads, Google Ads and other types of PPC advertising. I think all of these can work if you know what you are doing.

How To Get Paid

When you make a few sales, you can receive your payments through PayPal or check. The time you will get your money depends on your affiliate level. If you are a beginner it may take up to 30 days.

In some products, there is a 90-day delay. The seller may decide to hold the payments to make sure that there are not any refunds which is an issue in some products.

My Final Verdict – Scam Or Legit?

There are some things to consider when you want to join and promote JVZoo products but it’s a legit affiliate network.

When you make some sales, you will get paid even if it will delay some weeks and I think this is the most important thing here.

However, if you are looking for a product to promote on your website or blog, you should be careful with your decisions. Many of them have really low quality even if many people promote them or say good things about them.

I mention above the launch jacking strategy. It’s all about marketing and not about the quality of the products. So, when you want to promote only top products, JVZoo is not the best option.

While we cannot blame JVZoo for the products of some sellers, it’s obvious that it makes money from them and they have no problem to keep working in that way.

The good news is that you don’t have to create or promote online scams to make money. There are legit ways to become an affiliate marketer.

You will need a different strategy. Many affiliate marketers try to help their visitors through their content and recommend only quality products. This is what I do as well.
