Today, you are considering an online fitness business or you are already an owner of an offline fitness business and you are looking more customers.
No matter what your background is, you can absolutely achieve your goals on the internet.
My suggestions are based on what strategies have followed successful online entrepreneurs. Hopefully, you will find them helpful.
3 Steps To Build A Profitable Business
First of all, you can do everything you want. Some people want to be personal trainers, other people sell courses, share information, you may want to do seminars. The process to market your business is the same.
The fitness niche is a huge one. Billions of people want to look better and be healthier. For this reason, there is an audience for you and for anyone who wants to start a business in that niche.
What are the three steps?
After researching many authorities and businesses that help people in the fitness niche, I have noticed that almost every one of them do at least two things of the following:
- Share information on a blog or site
- Build an email list
- Grow their following on social media
These are some great ways to get started. Of course, in the beginning, you won’t be able to build an email list because there is not any traffic. So, let’s start with the website and social media.
Build A Website
Take a look at some websites in your niche that you like. Similarly, you can build your site. I do not say to copy them but get ideas. Usually, they have a menu with 5-10 pages and blog inside their sites. That’s a good start.
Next, you need to focus on creating a brand name. If you want to be a personal trainer or offer any type of services, you could build a personal brand but it is optional.
In the beginning, you need a domain name and a logo relevant to your main product or service. If you are not sure about your product, you can start as an affiliate marketer.
This is only your foundation.
Your goal should be to create an active website with helpful information. The best way to achieve that is by blogging about relevant topics. It is not difficult to write one-two posts per week.
An active blog on your site encourages your visitors to come back for more interesting content and there are SEO benefits as well if you do keyword research and target keywords with traffic.
When you help people in your niche, you build trust and establish yourself as an expert which result in more sales and conversions in the long term.
Share Your Content On Social Media
The fitness niche has millions of potential customers on almost every popular social media platform. You can create a Youtube channel, a Facebook page, an Instagram account. Anything you like and enjoy.
Again, you can use your name or the name of your website.
The strategy that you need follow depends on the social media platform. You cannot share your content in the same way on Facebook and Instagram. Check how the influencers work and adjust your strategy.
Your main goal should be to attract people to your website and make sales. So, a sharing only strategy may not work. Share images, videos, answer questions, join groups etc.
The more active you are, the best results you can expect.
Build Your Email List
You cannot get subscribers without traffic. So, you can wait until start getting visitors before you add an email form on your site.
The process is really simple:
- Add an email form
- Give something for free in exchange for the email address of your visitors
- When you get subscribers, send your content and your offers to their emails
Most people will not buy something on their first visit on your site. If they subscribe to your list, you have more chances to build trust between you and them and finally make them buy your products.
It Will Not Happen Overnight
Fitness is a competitive niche but you only need a tiny part of the market to go full time. However, it won’t happen overnight. Even if you find a low competition subniche, it will take at least a few months to make sales consistently.
The good news is that if you are patient and determined to continue after the first months, there is a potential to build a great online business with many clients, visitors on your site, and followers on the social media.
Most influencers in every niche started from scratch and they keep building their audience until today. You can do that too!
