Clickbank Superstar Review: Scam Or Legit?
Welcome to my Clickbank Superstar review.
It’s an interesting product for marketers who want to add their products to the listings of Clickbank. On this review, you will read if it is a scam or a legit program that deliver what it promises and how it works.
What Is Clickbank Superstar?
The owner of the program is John Thornhill. He shows a few screenshots with his earnings from 2013 and 2014 and presents himself as a Clickbank veteran. According to the video of the program, he is an affiliate marketer from 2005.
From the launch page on MunchEye, we can see that this is his first product on Clickbank. Of course, it’s possible to use it as an affiliate marketer, or he may have created products without listing them on this site. There are many ways to earn money on Clickbank so I will not focus on that issue. But I must mention it because he is the owner.
Clickbank Superstar is only for people who are interested in becoming vendors of Clickbank. There is no training for affiliate marketers but you could use the traffic training to promote any product. For those who have not a product but they want to become vendors, there is a page on the members’ area with some training on creating one.
The video presentation is short and mentions the opportunity of adding your product to this marketplace. It’s true that Clickbank has a lot of affiliates who are willing to promote a good product. So, it’s not a bad idea to get started on this affiliate network. I prefer it from other alternatives like ZVZoo or CJ Affiliate.
So, we need to check if the training is as it should be. In my opinion, it’s a legit product but nothing great. The videos and PDFs inside are ok but you can find similar information by yourself. There is nothing too complicated or something that someone who has already a product cannot figure out.
The price of the product is not expensive, there is some value in the members’ area and you can ask a refund in 60 days. It’s not a huge decision. Anyway, you can read what you will see inside and the structure of the program below.
How Does It Work?
The training on the members’ area has two main parts. The guides about adding a product on Clickbank’s marketplace and the traffic. All the training is in video format but there are PDFs as well.
Starting with the product training, it looks like a setup guide. It has the steps you need to add a product with a sales page like the ones you can see any product from this marketplace.
Next, there are some videos about free traffic sources. It includes many ways but it shows you only the basics from each one. Some of them are so simple that they do not have advanced stuff at all. Also, it includes methods that I would no recommend like article marketing and social networking. Here are all the recommended traffic sources:
- Article marketing
- Free report
- Facebook groups
- Joint ventures
- Guest blogging
- Integration marketing
- Social networking
- Viral marketing
- World of mouth
- Video marketing
Most people want to know if the information on the members’ area work if they apply
You can learn without spending money on this product how to add a product to an affiliate network you want. It’s not a well-hidden secret that someone reveals today. Also, when it comes to traffic, you don’t need all the available traffic sources. It’s much better to learn one and master it.
How Much Does It Cost?
The next part of this review is the pricing of the program. If you have a product and you are interested in adding to Clickbank, you do not need me to tell you about the upsells you will see inside.
Most digital programs have many upsells and the same you can expect here. It’s a common strategy. The front end product costs $19.95, and according to the JV page, there are 6 upsells, one of them is a high ticket upsell. The total cost for a buyer is over $2000. On the image below, you can see the funnel and the upsells. You can find it on the JV page.
Of course, you can buy the front end product and decide later for all the other costs. However, you understand from the funnel the business model and how it tries to make sales. I do not like upsells and I do not want to recommend products with funnels like this one.
Also, there is a 60-day money back guarantee. You can get a refund without any problems if you do not like what you see in the members’ area.
My Final Verdict: Scam or Legit?
I have already mentioned that it’s not a scam but I don’t recommend it because it’s an average product and includes huge upsells.
On the internet, you can find any information you want. So, when you want to buy a program, it must help you more than the free alternatives on blogs and videos. I do think that Clickbank Superstar adds enough value to feel that you learn something new or unique.
It’s better than most low-quality Clickbank products for sure but still, I would not pay for it. If you prefer to give almost $20 than searching for all that stuff by yourself, you can buy it. This is the only benefit.
For those who have not created a product or made money online before, it’s a better idea to begin as an affiliate and not as a vendor. At least this is my opinion.
I can recommend you a few ways to get started. There are two programs that I like these days. The first one is Wealthy Affiliate for those who want to learn how to build a site and get traffic from free sources. It has a free membership to test the product and later a monthly fee for the premium members. I am an active member on WA and help people daily.
The second option is Super Affiliate System by John Crestani. It is focused on the paid ways to get traffic and it’s an expensive program with quality training.
