The subtitles are for people who want to mute the sound or need help to understand the dialogues (for example, people who do not speak a specific language). If you are familiar with any transcription jobs, it will easier for you to do what it takes here. It is not a difficult job to do, but if you are a beginner, you need to get familiar.
Lastly, there are two types of captions: The live and the recorded captions. The live captions are about live events, and they are needed in real-time. The recorded captions can be in video or audio format.
How To Get Started
The process is simple. You get caption or transcription jobs, you complete them, and you get paid. However, you need to get approved before being able to complete any of these jobs.
The first requirement is to understand and write in English. You do not have to be a native English speaker, and Ai-Media is available worldwide (make sure you can create a PayPal account). But it is obvious you will not get approved if your English is poor. You cannot find jobs in other languages in this company.

You just need a computer that runs Windows, an internet connection, and a Chrome browser.

You can expect to earn $27-$42 per video hour. However, it does not matter how much time it takes for you to complete the job.
If you want to complete an hour of work to get paid that amount, it may take 4-5 hours to type, edit and watch the videos again. Also, some of these files will be more difficult than others. Comparing to other transcription sites (it is the closest alternative), Ai-Media is a much better option.
I reviewed it some weeks ago the TranscribeMe program, and you can earn $20 per hour ($0.33 per minute). You can see for yourself that Ai-Media is a better option.
As I have said in that review, your earnings are heavily dependent on your skills in these types of jobs. If you can type fast, you can expect to complete your jobs faster and get more of them. The same applies here. So, it is a work-from-home opportunity for people who have some experience in similar jobs and want to earn some extra money.

Is Ai-Media Legit?
On this site, everything seems to work fine. The page about the captioners seems professional with no ridiculous claims or anything weird.
There is some information on other sites about this company as well. The BBB has an A+ rank on AI-Media, but there are no user reviews. However, if you check the Facebook page of the company, there are many positive reviews from Facebook users.

My Final Opinion
Ai-Media sounds like a good side income opportunity for people who like to do transcription jobs. It is not the same thing because you watch a video instead of listening to an audio file. I think it will be easier to complete these jobs, but I am not sure about that. Anyway, you can give it a try. It’s free to get started, so there is nothing to lose.
